The Akron Children’s Museum invites you to take part in a very special evening benefit. We are proud to announce our 7th Annual Grown Up Play Date: Vegas, Baby! An upscale fundraiser “Where Akron Comes to Play'' Las Vegas style.
For one night, the Akron Children’s Museum (ACM) will transform into Las Vegas, Baby! Experience Las Vegas in Akron, Ohio and walk The Strip with nearly 300 guests for an evening with exceptional food, dancing, live entertainment, casino games and FUN! With its engaging theme, premier auction, and countless surprises, the Grown Up Play Date is a highly anticipated yearly favorite of ACM’s expanding community of supporters, and a pivotal element in our nonprofit organization’s financial progress.

Who says mindfulness has to be seated meditation? This hour-long workshop is an opportunity for ages 5 years and older to engage in mindful play. Together we will be present with our bodies and with each other, exploring physical spaces and imaginary places. Open to children, families, and those who embrace the child within.
Workshop admission is FREE with museum ticket purchase!

Sanjib Bhattacharya presents Dance Sutra- Dance Movements on July 31 from 10-11am for children 5-12 years and their families.
Get your body moving and your mind right with Akron Soul Train resident artist Sanjib Bhattacharya. Dance Sutra is a unique sequence of movements for enrichment of mind, body and soul.
Based on principles of Indian Classical & Contemporary Dance and Martial Arts, it helps improve body alignment and builds strength & endurance.
Dance Sutra can be customized to meet individual requirements, making it accessible to all levels; from children to seniors, beginner to advanced and fitness enthusiasts to professional performers.
Come be inspired, get moving, and have fun with the whole family by learning and appreciating this wonderful Indian art form.
Pre-New Years Eve Ready, Set, Glow Party!
A special event for children to ring in the New Year at the Akron Children's Museum on Sunday, December 29, 2019. 6:00-8:00 PM. Ready, Set, Glow tickets will go fast! This is an event the whole family will enjoy! Meet Josh the Juggler along your way through our interactive exhibits with a fun scavenger hunt, balloon artist, face painter and more! Design your own glow in the dark cookie while enjoying a live DJ on the glowing dance floor before the ball drops at 7:59 PM! Please consider bringing an item or two (new with tags) to help Kylie’s Bags of Love for ALL patients in the hospital boy/girl socks, small stuffed animals, card games, play dough, small crafts, Lip Balm, nail polish, journals, pens, coloring books, etc. This special event is sponsored by ACME Fresh Market, RSVP Food and Party Outlet, and Metis Construction, and State Farm Insurance.
