Creative builders will be creating armor and helmets out of recycled materials. Builders are able to collect materials from home they want to reuse and bring it in for this challenge or just come in and we will supply recycled materials.

Where: Inside the museum’s Little Monster Makerspace

Why: Have fun playing and engaging in STEAM activities to increase your creativity and critical thinking skills.

It is our DELIGHT to bring you a late night of interactive play and fun with full access to 25 exhibits and a couple of featured surprises!

Join us for Mindful Make and Move Day at Akron Children’s Museum! This event is all about creativity, dance, and relaxation. Throughout the 1.5 hour session, you'll have the opportunity to engage in three different activities. First, you can dance and express yourself with our friends from ArtSparks. Next, explore our new custom cookie machine and design your own cookie. Finally, tap into your creative side and enjoy some mindful art. As you rotate through these three stations, you'll collect goodies to take home, including your custom-designed cookie and your very own button pins. Don't miss this fun and enriching summer session at the museum!

Cost: $15 per session per kid or $12 member rate per session per kid (Parents are free for this event.)

Age Ranges: 3-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-12 years.

Time frame: Check in between 9:30 - 10 am. Session lasts from 10:00 -11:30 am.
