Celebrate your child with a birthday party at the place where kids can let loose, learn, and explore: the Akron Children’s Museum! Your child and their friends will have big fun throughout our interactive exhibits during an action-packed 2-hour affair. You’ll see it’s no surprise the museum is rated in akronlife.com’s Best of City Hall of Fame.
Enjoy refreshments in your party space where you may bring your own cake, ice cream, and drinks for the celebration. Fuel the party with catering by the Lock 3 Café! Choose to keep the fun going by adding on a special keepsake party pleaser activity, party favor, or the perfect plush companion to any party! ACM members receive a $25 discount on party packages.

Your party is welcome to stay at the museum as long as you like during open hours; however, the party space can only be used during your reserved time slot. A nonrefundable $50 deposit is required to hold your time slot on our calendar.

$525 to have the museum all to yourself for 2 hours, for up to 50 people. $50 nonrefundable deposit required.
ACM Members: $500. Extra guests will be $10/person for up to 25 additional guests (75 total max)

Let's Get Artsy! is a 45 minute Exploratory Painting pARTy! This is a creative opportunity for your party guests to explore fun ways to apply paints onto canvas. Participants will create unique and colorful masterpieces that they will be able to take home! This experience is $15/child who gets to take the art with them (minimum of 10 children).
Let's Play Happy Birthday! is a 30 minute interactive performance. Creative movement allows little ones to express themselves in a safe and open environment, as well as providing an excellent outlet for creativity, energy, and fun! This performance will keep your birthday guests entertained through songs, stories, and games that use imaginative play as a foundation for learning. This experience is $125 for up to 25 children.
Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream! gives your party goers the chance to experience the fun mystery of the beaded ice cream concept invented in 1988 with cryogenic technology and the love for ice cream. Through innovation and imagination, Dippin’ Dots redefined ice cream. From the first bite of unexpected flavor, your party guests will have a blast enjoying their own personal serving of ice cream and will be talking about it long after their last bite! This treat is $5.25 per child.
Explore LEGOS! is private free-play time during your party. Up to 25 of your guests will have use of a building baseplate and building challenge cards to use while create fun things like a robot, a bridge, something that can fly, or a car. Or children may use their imagination and build anything their hearts desire. Don't forget to snap a pic of the guests with their creations to send with your birthday thank-you note or text! This experience $50 for up to 25 children.
Explore Trains! is a private free-play time during your party. Your guests will receive have use of a variety of wooden trains and tracks while visiting the museum. Challenge your party-goers to see how long of a track they can design together, then stand back and watch all of the fun they will have making the trains go! This experience is $50 for up to 25 children.
Custom Party Cookies! Would your child love to see their face on a cookie or perhaps see some of their artwork transferred? You can add custom printed cookies to your party. These sugar cookies are printed at the museum using a printer with FDA food safe ink to add some extra delight to your party. Cookies are $48/dozen. Additional cookies may be added on top of the dozen for $4/cookie.
Mascots Polly and/or Rubbert Special Appearance! We are happy to bring our custom mascots to celebrate your child. Polly (our pink monster) and Rubbert (our teal monster) can come meet and greet your guests to share in the birthday fun. The cost is $50 per mascot, up to 2 hours.
