The Akron Children's Museum is committed to making a positive impact in the community through its outreach efforts. The museum aims to engage children and families in interactive learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for lifelong learning. Here are some of the ways the Akron Children's Museum reaches out to the community:

Community Partnerships:

The museum collaborates with local organizations, schools, and businesses to provide educational programs and resources. By partnering with community stakeholders, the museum extends its reach and impact, ensuring that children from all backgrounds have access to enriching learning experiences.

Outreach Programs:

The Akron Children's Museum offers various outreach programs designed to engage children and families in learning outside of the museum's physical location. These programs include workshops, storytimes, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities, and more. These programs are held at community centers, libraries, and other public spaces.

Community Events and Festivals:

The museum actively participates in community events and festivals to promote its mission and engage with the community. Through interactive exhibits and activities, the museum creates memorable experiences and spreads awareness about the importance of play-based learning.

The Akron Children's Museum is dedicated to reaching out to the community and providing accessible and engaging learning opportunities for children. By taking its exhibits and programs beyond the museum's walls, the museum strives to inspire and empower children to explore, discover, and learn.

The Akron Children's Museum loves to go out into our community for special events. Please contact victoria [at] akronkids.org if you have an event in which you would like the museum to participate.
